FREE STUFF: A Bayou contest so easy, even readers can participate

Sadly, it is all about marketing. It's holiday time -- and we've decided to give out a few gifts (something we plan on doing from time to time). But, as you might expect from the Bayou, you're not gonna get something for nothing.

So here is the skinny:

We've got 10 gorgeous, high quality t-shirts (cotton blend, only the best) for the first 10 readers who become "followers" of the Bayou (see the sidebar for the link). We currently have 13 toadies, and we're always in the market for more. So, be quick, sign up and you'll get yourself a prize.

The shirts, by the by, are for the December 2nd release of the DVD THE LONGSHOTS, starring Ice Cube and Keke Palmer: follow Jasmine Plummer’s journey from misfit to football hero under the coaching of her uncle, former high school football star Curtis Plummer. Blowing away the skeptics and the competition alike with her skills on the gridiron, Jasmine takes control and leads her team to the league’s Super Bowl.

Available at retail outlets and video stores throughout the Golden Triangle

Sounds like the Lamar University football team story. We're joking. Don't hate.

C'mon, become a "follower" and get some free gear. You know you want to.
